American Summer Camp , Announcements, Staff News

This year we are excited to announce more spaces in our 2-week sleepaway camp experience. Over the years, children and parents have told us that the 2-week option is just long enough for them to feel like they are getting the full summer camp experience but not too long to initiate homesickness or get in the way of family time. It is also perfect for kids to try out summer camp for the first time.

We also find that parents find that our 2-week session to be a more affordable option. They are excited that their child can get the opportunity to try out summer camp and make their own minds up about future overnight sleepaways.

At Camp Emerson we pack a lot of fun into our 2-week program. Campers can choose from over 50 activities to design a schedule that fits their favorite activities. Campers will pick 12 activities from our full range of activities in studio arts, performing arts, athletics, watersports, wilderness and “Step Beyond”.

Our camp counselors are carefully selected and screened by our directors and are specialists with teaching experience in their chosen activity. For example, our Plunkett Director – Bec Farley – is returning for a 7th summer and is excited to teach campers about waterskiing, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, tubing and sailing at Lake Plunkett. We are investing in two new Mailbu ski boats and we can’t wait for our campers to help us name them this summer.

The cost of our 2-week summer camp session is $3350 and there are 3 available 2-week slots. Check our dates & fees page for more information; http://www.campemerson.com/dates-fees
