We intentionally structure our schedule to create maximum fun and engagement throughout the day. It’s important to us that campers have ample time to enjoy their activities and all camp evening programs, while also being able to access some downtime. During Choice Time campers can choose what sort of activities are most exciting to them. This recipe of Great Schedule + Great Camp Food makes for an amazing camp experience for all. Campers love the flow of the daily schedule and all of the delicious options available to them each meal!
Campers love our daily schedule! There’s excitement in the morning, afternoon, and evening. And each day during Choice Time campers are able to choose the activities they want most. Our schedule rotates between A Days and B Days, so campers participate in eight electives in a two-week session.

Great Camp Food
The dining hall and meals at Camp Emerson serve two purposes – to nourish our bodies and build community. All meals at Emerson are served buffet style. We emphasize eating nutritious and delicious food that supports the active camp lifestyle. Meals are an important bonding time for bunks. Campers and staff sit together as they recap their day and look forward to future activities. In addition to the main buffet station, we provide campers and staff with a variety of choices to ensure their food needs are met.
- Pasta Station
- Bread Toasting and Sandwich Station
- Vegan and Vegetarian options at Every Meal
- Fresh Fruit
- Amazing Salad Bar with a variety of options at each meal
- Dessert Every Dinner
- Additional snacks are given out to the entire camp in the morning, afternoon, and before bed
Meals at camp are not just meals. There is ample singing, cheering, and special chants during meals. Each meal has important rituals that campers love. In the evenings we’ll often play music and the entire camp will dance together. These rituals make meals fun and bring the entire community together.
