Frequently Asked Questions

What is the interview like?
First interviews last about 45 minutes. You can expect to meet with someone from our director team. During our first interview we really want to get to know you and why you want to work at a summer camp. We conduct initial interviews over video, usually Google Meet or Zoom.
I want to work at camp, but I’m not sure what position is right for me. How should I proceed?
This is very common! During our first interview we’ll ask you about your interests, skills and experiences. Once we get to know you more we’ll be able to clarify what role might be best for you.
When do you start hiring?
We start hiring staff in the fall and finish in the late spring. It’s never too early or too late to reach out and inquire about working at camp!
I have a conflict during the summer, can I work at camp?
We know some staff need to leave camp for important events, like graduation. We determine if we can make accommodations for staff on a case by case basis. We factor in your role, the amount of time you need to spend away from camp, the importance of the event, etc.
What do I bring to camp?
We give staff a comprehensive packing list before the summer, so you’ll know exactly what to bring. For international staff, we provide bedding and towels.
How do I get to camp? Do you provide transportation?
For staff members who fly, we will pick you up at Logan Airport (Boston) at the beginning of the summer. Airport pickup days are very exciting! At the end of the summer, we drop staff members off at a local bus station that will take you to the airport. Staff who are traveling by car need to find their own transportation to and from camp.
